ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The Respiratory Therapist will provide patient education, respiratory equipment set-up, clinical assessments, and ongoing support for patients receiving respiratory therapies in the home setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct in-home respiratory patient visits
- Perform patient assessments according to physician orders and company policies
- Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory therapies and equipment
- Set up and monitor respiratory equipment, including:
- Invasive ventilators
- Noninvasive ventilators
- PAP therapy equipment
- Home oxygen equipment
- Infant monitors
- Other high-tech respiratory devices as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Communicate patient assessments and findings to physicians
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up for respiratory patients
- Assist with training and orientation activities as assigned

OVERVIEW
Seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide education, training, assessment, and ongoing support for patients utilizing ventilators, PAP therapy, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory equipment. This role combines clinical assessment skills with patient education and equipment management in a home-care environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must hold appropriate respiratory-related credentials and state licensure as required by applicable laws
- Must maintain required licensure in primary state of practice
- May be required to obtain additional licensure based on service area requirements
- Background check required
- Drug screening may be required
- Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing requirements as applicable
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record as required
Preferred
- Accredited respiratory care education preferred
- Degree in respiratory therapy or related science preferred
- Home respiratory care experience preferred
- One year of related work experience preferred
- Additional nursing or paramedical training may be considered where permitted by state law

- Potential exposure to contagious illnesses and pathogens
- Compliance with Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing requirements, including annual recertification
